Why am I Inactive on a Supplier List?

  • Updated

When registering on a Preferred Supplier List, your registration is reviewed by the List Owner who owns and manages the list.

Once the List Owner has reviewed your application and you've met all requirements, they will approve and activate your profile on the list. Once active, Buyers will be able to view and select your profile on the Supplier List to send you requests.

List Owners can also toggle whether your profile on the list is 'active' or 'inactive'.

Checking Your Status on a Supplier List

You can check your status on a Supplier List on either the Supplier Lists you manage or the Lists you're on pages.

Against each Supplier List that you are registered on, you will either see a blue (active on the list) or a red (not approved/inactive on the list) question mark icon.

If you hover your mouse over the red question mark icon, a pop-up message will appear with information regarding your profile on the list. It will state either:

  • Your profile on the list has not been approved.
  • Your profile on the list has not been activated.
  • The Supplier List is currently inactive.

Why you are Inactive on a Supplier List

If your registration on a Preferred Supplier List is Inactive, you will no longer be able to respond to Requests sent to that Preferred Supplier List. This could be the case due to the following reasons:

  • There are outstanding requirements to submit Compliances, Qualifications or Rate Cards for the Supplier Lists.
  • If you have already submitted your requirements, they may still be pending approval by the List Owner. Once reviewed and approved they will likely approve/activate your profile on the list.

The List Owner may also choose to set the entire list to Inactive, which would mean all Supplier profiles on the list would be made inactive. This could happen for the below reasons:

  • It is a new Preferred Supplier List and the List Owner is still setting up Compliance, Qualification and Rate Card requirements.
  • The list may have expired and no longer be in use.

If you have any questions regarding your registration status on Preferred Supplier Lists, your best point of contact is the List Owner for more information.
