The Buyer's Decision on Your Response

This article explains how and when you will receive notification of a Buyer's decision on your bid and where to find detailed feedback or contact information within your account.

Prerequisites

You must have submitted a response to a Request or Tender through the system.

Key Ideas: Understanding the Decision Process

The final decision and any feedback are determined by the Buyer or their organisation.

  • To discuss the decision : You must contact the Buyer or their procurement team directly.
  • Checking the Expected Decision Date: You can find the Expected Decision Date set by the Buyer by viewing the Request/Tender details (click the magnifying glass icon).
  • Finding Your Response: Once the Request/Tender has closed, you can locate your response under the My Responses tab on the menubar.

  • Decision Visibility: When a Buyer submits their decision, it becomes visible in your account.
    • Responses move from the Pending decision section of My Responses to either Successful or Unsuccessful sections.
    • The Buyer may also choose to send an email notification when the request is finalized.

Successful Responses

  • Look for the What now? link to the right of a successful response.
  • Clicking this link allows you to view any comments left by the Buyer and the Buyer's contact details for further discussion.

Declined Responses

  • Look for the Why? button to the right of an unsuccessful response.
  • Clicking this allows you to view any feedback that the Buyer has left.

  • Contacting the Buyer: If the Buyer has kept their personal details private, contact the organisation’s main point of contact and ask to speak with their procurement team. You can check their details from their website too.
