This article explains the difference between the VP Reference number (for a request) and the Response ID (for your submission) and shows you how to locate your Response ID. Use this to track or discuss a specific request or response with a buyer or VendorPanel - a Unimarket Company Support.

VP Reference vs. Response ID
The most common "reference" numbers are the VP Reference number and the Response ID. VendorPanel - a Unimarket Company does not use labels such as "user ID" or "account number" for user-facing information.
- VP Reference number
- This is the unique ID for the request posted by the buyer.
- It is available before, during, and after creating a response.
- It has a VP prefix (e.g., VP484675).
- Response ID
- This is a unique number generated only after you have completed and submitted your response against a request.
- It has a VPR prefix (e.g., VPR123456).
Steps to find your Response ID
Follow these steps to locate the Response ID for a submitted response:
Locate the relevant response either under My Responses or on your dashboard.
- If you are accessing your responses from My Responses, click on All Responses.- If you are accessing your responses from your dashboard, click on the You’ve responded link on the far right of the request.
- A summary page will be displayed.
- Find the heading Your Response. Your Response ID will be next to this heading, in brackets, with a VPR prefix (e.g., Your Response (VPR123456)).
Limits & Notes
- Your Response ID is only generated after you complete and submit your response.
- VendorPanel - a Unimarket Company does not label any user-facing metadata as "user or account IDs".
