Manage Email Notifications for Marketplace Requests

Use the request settings functionality to control the email notifications you receive about requests on Marketplace lists only. This allows Vendor Admins and Colleagues to tailor their Request settings as desired.
By default, you will only receive email reminders, alerts, and updates regarding Requests you have indicated you are interested in, by logging in to preview the Request details and/or downloading the Request package. This functionality will allow you to tailor your Request settings as desired. 

Prerequisites

  • You must be a Vendor Admin or Colleague.
  • Suppliers on Preferred Supplier Lists cannot manage their notifications and will receive all notifications by default.
  • Changes only apply to Requests/Tenders received after the settings have been updated.

Steps to Manage Request & Notification Settings

  1. Navigate to the request settings area : Settings --> Options and Settings
     
  2. Review and update your notification options as outlined below. 

Request & Notification Settings Options

Local Supplier Marketplace Requests

This setting applies to requests where a Buyer has privately selected your company profile to view and respond to a request. It does not apply to open Public Tenders.

  • Do you want to receive local supplier Marketplace requests for the lists you are on?
    • Yes: You will receive the initial email notification when a new Marketplace Request is sent to you.
    • No: You will not receive these emails. Buyers will see a message against your profile stating "Supplier is not currently accepting requests". The request is still added to your account but immediately moved to Archived Requests. If the request is still open and you wish to respond, you can reverse a declined request to respond on it. The two settings below regarding reminder and update notifications will also disappear. 
  • Reminder emails
    • Choose to receive reminder notifications leading up to the closing date for All requests, or only for requests you have read (previewed details or downloaded documents). 
  • Update, status and other emails
    • Choose to receive update notifications (e.g., if the Buyer changes the request or answers a question publicly) for All requests, or only for requests you have read (previewed details or downloaded documents). 

Public Tender Requests

This setting allows you to choose whether you'd like to receive the opportunity to respond to public tenders from the Marketplace lists you're registered on.

 

  • Do you want to receive public tender requests for the lists you are on?
    • Yes: You will receive a daily Tender Digest email that lists all new opportunities that match the regions, lists, and categories you have selected.
    • No: You will not have the option to view and respond to any Open Market Tenders within your account. 
  • Tender Digest Emails
    • Choose how often you'd like to receive the digest email (e.g., Monday to Sunday). 

Results/Validation

Check the email notifications you receive after the next scheduled notification or invite to confirm your settings are applied. 

What's next / Related

Limits & Notes

  • Any changes made are at an individual user level. A Vendor Admin's settings won't affect a Colleague's settings, and vice versa.
  • By default, users on Marketplace lists will not receive notifications for reminders, updates, status, or query emails unless they have logged in and either previewed or downloaded the request documents.
