Ask a Question to the Buyer on a Request or Tender

  • Updated

Ask a question to the Buyer on a Request or Tender opportunity. Use this process when you need clarification on the opportunity details before the Supplier query cut-off date.

Prerequisites

  • You must be invited to a Request or have access to a Public Tender.
  • The Supplier query cut-off date must not have passed.

Steps

  1. Locate the Request or Tender you wish to ask a question about.
  2. Select the question mark icon located to the right of the Request or Tender.

    • Tip: Hover over the icon to view the supplier query cut-off date and time.
  3. Type your question into the textbox in the pop-up window.

  4. Click on the Ask this question button to send your question to the Buyer.

Results/Validation

  • Your question is sent to the Buyer.
  • Any questions you have asked previously and the Buyer's answers will be visible under the 'Questions you’ve asked' heading within the question pop-up window.
  • You will receive an email notification when the Buyer answers your question.
  • The answer will also be viewable when looking at the request details.

Limits & Notes

  • You will no longer be able to submit questions after the set Supplier query cut-off date passes.
  • The Buyer will answer either publicly (visible to all suppliers) or privately (visible only to you).
  • If the answer is made public, your name and details will not be included with the question.
