Use a Registered Business Number (RBN) instead of an Australian Business Number (ABN) to complete your supplier profile if your business is not based in Australia.
Prerequisites
You must be a Supplier completing your profile registration.
Steps
- Navigate to the ABN field when completing your supplier profile.
- Select the Other types button to the right of the ABN field.
- From the drop-down menu, select RBN (Registered Business Number).
- Enter your business number into the RBN field.
- The system will not validate the number you enter against Australian sources, allowing you to proceed with your non-Australian business information.
Resolving Location Validation Issues
If you are having difficulty with location validation, here are common fixes:
- Avoid complex details: Do not include floors or building names in the address; start with a street number or name.
- Try a surrounding area: If your suburb, town, city, or municipality cannot be located, try entering the closest or a surrounding location instead.
Limits & notes
- The RBN field will not validate the number you enter.
- Location details are validated using Google, not internal company verification.
- You may notice your address does not appear in your localised formatting after validation.
